Esodati, Mastrapasqua: INPS recalculates, 220 are protected

"Approximately 220 exodus workers will be safeguarded". THE'INPS redo the accounts on the workers who will be able to retire with the old rules and the director of the Institute announces the results, Antonio Mastrapasqua, who spoke this morning on the Rai Radio 1 broadcast "Prima di Tutto".

In detail, financial coverage "it is guaranteed for the 65 workers included in the save-Italy decree - explained Mastrapasqua -, for another 65 of two successive measures, for the 9 added a few days ago by Minister Fornero and, obviously, for the 80 who managed to retire by 31 December 2012. Every INPS office is doing the math again. On November 21st we will finally have the definitive data”.

A few days ago the Minister of Labour Elsa Fornero had spoken of 120 workers safeguarded so far, "to which another 10 thousand can be added due to the effect of Minister Sacconi's mobile window". Fornero then reiterated the government's intention to "give certainty to those who could retire in 2013 and 2014". Later, the minister reported on another 8.900 people which have accrued the right to be protected and for which a further 440 million euros will have to be allocated.

But there is not only the issue of exodus to be addressed in terms of social security. Today the INPS director also launched one shot at the government, contesting the reduction in the workforce decided as part of the spending review, which provides for a cut of 4 thousand units for the Institute starting from November XNUMXst. “Linear cuts are not spending reviews – said Mastrapasqua -. If INPS has to reduce its workforce, I ask which offices I will have to close and which services I will no longer have to provide".

According to the director, INPS has half of the employees of the similar institute “in Germany and compared to France. This is not a spending review. I'm a manager and I compare myself on the merits of the choices, not on an equal percentage for everyone. For this reason I asked for a meeting with the Minister of Public Administration, Patroni Griffi, with the Minister of Economy Grilli and with the Minister of Welfare Elsa Fornero”.
