Comau acquires Automha: an Italian industrial automation hub is born

Comau, an Italian company specialized in industrial automation and owned by Stellantis (49,9%) and from the international fund One Equity Partners (50,1%) expands in the automated logistics sector. The company has in fact signed a binding agreement for the '100% acquisition of Automha, a company active in the design and construction of automated systems for warehouses and internal logistics.

The operation is part of a larger one growth strategy aimed at strengthening Comau's position in high-potential and rapidly evolving sectors. The entry of Automha into the group's perimeter will allow Comau to expand its technological portfolio and intercept new industrial trends, both in Italy and internationally.

Automation and Intralogistics: Operational Synergies and a Common Vision

Under the terms of the agreement, the acquisition is expected to close on second quarter of 2025, subject to customary regulatory approvals. Automha, founded in 1979 and owned by Trasma, is considered aItalian excellence in the automated handling of goods. The company will continue to operate with your own structure managerial and strategic vision: Franco Togni to remain CEO, while Gianni and Roberta Togni will join Comau's executive committee, contributing to the synergic development of both entities.

“Expanding our reach and technology portfolio is a key step in Comau's growth strategy,” said Pietro Gorlier, CEO of the company. “The integration with Automha will allow us to accelerate innovation and seize opportunities in the growing sectors of logistics and intralogistics”.

The two companies boast complementary skills and a strong cultural affinity based on innovation, quality and customer centricity. The union aims to generate value not only through economies of scale, but also through the joint development of high-tech projects.

An Italian hub to compete in global markets

With this acquisition, Comau strengthens its industrial roots in Italy, but with a marked global projection. The operation demonstrates the will of build an Italian automation hub able to compete on an international scale, leveraging innovation, human capital and industrial integration capabilities.
