Il cloud computing: a growth opportunity for SMEs and PAs. At a time when digitization is a priority for the country, Open Gate Italia - a consultancy firm specializing in Public Affairs, Media Relations and Business Development - has organized a digital round table to explore the issue of the diffusion of cloud computing and identify the main opportunities and criticalities that this challenge poses to small and medium enterprises and public administration.
The health emergency from Covid-19 has radically changed our lifestyle, once again reaffirming the importance of new technologies in our daily life. And with the resources of the Recovery Fund we have the opportunity to correct the imbalances in the Italian economy, while identifying effective strategies.
How? Surely in the technological field, cloud computing can have a positive effect. It is a technology that allows you to use resources remotely software and hardware, the use of which is offered as a service by a provider. This would make it possible to generate benefits in terms of competitiveness for SMEs and productivity for a more efficient public administration in supporting citizens.
Round table:The future of the Cloud in Italy: between public and private” organized by Open Gate Italia tried to analyze how to create a value chain starting from the data economy, thanks to the construction of federative ecosystems such as the Gaia-x project.
The theme of digitization of businesses is certainly a common factor in all growth and development strategies, national and otherwise. In our country it is clear that to achieve a real digital transition we need to start with a structural reform of the PA.
Furthermore, Italy has set itself the goal of achieving in the next 7 years, i.e. by 2026, within the framework of European planning and with the support of the Next Generation EU, the cloud management of 75% of company and public administration data, according to the “Cloud First” principle.
And precisely in the light of these premises, Open Gate Italia has deemed it appropriate to organize a moment of discussion between the various players involved, to analyze the potential and possible challenges that emerge in this context for Italian operators, both public and private.
