Cdp: 5 million loan to the Emilian company Ama

Cassa Depositi e Prestiti has granted a loan of 5 million euros to the Ama group, an Emilia-based company active in the supply of components for the construction and maintenance of slow-moving vehicles, agricultural machinery and greenery maintenance.

The CDP loan will be used by the company to "accelerate the dimensional growth of the Ama Group in developing countries, in particular, through the expansion of the production unit in Bosnia, which also sees the minority participation in the capital by SIMEST, the production units in India and Ukraine and the commercial branch in Uzbekistan”, reads the note from Cassa Depositi.

Ama in 2019 registered a turnover of 175 million euros and in Italy it has 12 production plants distributed between Emilia, Umbria, Lombardy and Abruzzo. Abroad, the company has another 4 plants located in India, Ukraine, the USA and Bosnia. Ama has a branched international network, thanks to 15 branches, 7 points of sale and 5 representative offices in 21 countries around the world, and employs a total of 1.392 employees.

"The economic and financial solidity of the Ama Group has made it possible to successfully deal with the impacts of the Covid-19 emergency and the resources put in place by CDP will allow it to support the group in implementing the Investment plan 2020-2023 aimed at promoting its strengthening in high-potential economies”, continues the note.
