Equitalia folders: last hours for scrapping

The scrapping of the Equitalia folders is now running out. Friday 21 April is the deadline within which it is possible to ask the collection agency for the "facilitated definition" of the tax bills issued from 2000 to 2016. Through the scrapping, taxpayers have the opportunity to extinguish their debt with Equitalia, taking advantage of a discount on the sums owed.

But what is to be done? The taxpayer must submit the "Declaration of adherence to the facilitated definition" (form DA1) directly to the Equitalia counters, or send it together with a copy of the identity document to the e-mail/pec box of the Regional Directorate of Equitalia - Collection services reference.

Anyone who has already submitted a declaration of adhesion for debts relating to the period 2000-2015 and wants to integrate it with the amounts entrusted to Equitalia in 2016 can submit a new supplementary declaration using the same DA1 form and indicating the new sums that it intends to define.

The State expects 7,2 billion in proceeds from the operation in two years. The actual additional revenue, compared to a configuration without discounts, is estimated at 5,1 billion between now and 2019.

Since the beginning of the year – according to data updated to 15 April – there have been 5,2 million accesses to the Equitalia portal and at the moment 54% of subscriptions have been presented via email or web.
