After the decision made yesterday by the board of Carige of a capital increase of 850 million euros, now the CEO of Carige Peter Montani presented the 2015-2019 plan of the Genoese institute providing two interesting news on the disposal front.
Montani has announced its intention to sell a portfolio of 1-1,5 billion euros of non-performing loans in 2016. According to Montani, the non-recourse transfer of the credit portfolio should lead to a gross capital loss estimated at 150-200 million.
Montani also communicated that Banca Carige estimates overall 190 million the collection linked to the possible sale of the consumer credit company Creditis, of Banca Cesare Ponti and of other minority shareholdings. finally, Carige expects to start the sale "of real estate assets relating to a portfolio of instrumental and non-operating properties" "probably towards the end of next year". Montani underlined that a capital gain of around 50 million is expected from any disposal operations. Added to this are other extraordinary value extraction operations to support growth: outsourcing of facility management and rationalization of network banks.
