After yesterday's +12,8%, the rally of the Sienese bank continues in Piazza Affari, which will be forced to pay the coupons of the Monti Bonds in shares.

Borsa, Mps still flies: the state likes the capital

Still strong purchases on the stock on the Stock Exchange Monte dei Paschi di Siena, which today in mid-morning gains more than four percentage points, to 0,5045 euros, achieving one of the best increases in the Ftse Mib.

Already yesterday afternoon, the shares of the Sienese bank had accelerated upwards, even reaching a positive change of 19 percentage points (12,8% at the close, at 0,4843 euro).

The buying spree was triggered by the news of theentry of the State into the capital of the institute, which he will be forced to pay the coupons of Monti Bonds in shares, equal to about 10% of the current capital.

The terms of the agreements signed under the last technical government provide that the payment in shares takes place when the Bank closes with a loss, and this is exactly what happened in 2014.

The amount in favor of the Treasury will be 243 million euros of interest accrued on 2014. After the planned capital increase of 3 billion, on the agenda by mid-2015, the Ministry of the Economy could have about 5% of the capital.
