They are from Campania best traditional panettone and best artisan pandoro 2022, the Apulian one with creative chocolate, awarded on the occasion of the sixth edition of “Master Panettone”, the competition organized by Goloasi.it Pastry and Ice Cream portal that rewards the best Italian artisanal Christmas leavened products of the year.
To win the victory in the category "Best traditional artisan panettone" was the Panettone by Fiorenzo Ascolese of the Ascolese Bakery of San Valentino Torio (Sa), followed in second place by that of Michele Pirro of the Cafè Noir of San Marco in Lamis (Fg) and third from that of Maximilian Maiorano of La Forneria of Naples. In the category "Best artisanal panettone with creative chocolate" the first step of the podium went to the panettone by Michele Pirro of the Cafè Noir of San Marco in Lamis (Fg), followed by that of Alessandro Saccomando and Pasquale Iannelli of Casa Mastroianni of Lamezia Terme (Cz) and that of Samuele Segala of the Bakery Pastry Segala of Fumane (Vr). While to triumph in the category "Best artisan pandoro" was the pandoro of Marco Infante of Casa Infante di Napoli, followed by Daniele Milo of Le Sfoglie d'Oro of Salerno and Matteo Tavarini of Free Pastry of Luni (Sp).
Mastro Panettone 2022: a competition reserved for naturally leavened products without preservatives, colourants, emulsifiers and sulfur dioxide
Now in its sixth edition, “Master Panettone” is a competition that only admits leavened products that comply with the law (Decree of 22 July 2005 Regulating the production and sale of certain bakery confectionery products. GU n. 177 of 1-8-2005) and products with only the use of yeast mother and candied fruit without sulfur dioxide, which do not contain preservatives, emulsifiers, mono and diglycerides, as well as artificial colors or flavourings. To define the ranking through blind tastings was the technical commission of the sixth edition of “Mastro Panettone”, made up of industry professionals: Giambattista Montanari from AMPI (president of the jury), Eustachio Sapone, Francesco Borioli, Giuseppe Mancini, Antonio Daloiso and Matteo Dolcemascolo.
On the occasion of the final which was held at the Hotel Parco dei Principi in Bari, the prize for "Best Packaging" was also awarded, which went to Vanna Scattolini for Madamadorè of San Pietro in Cariano (Vr), and that for "Best Pastry Chef Digital” assigned to Pasquale Della Ventura (Della Ventura Patisserie of Maddaloni – Ce).
