Armani invests in Brazil: exclusive skyscraper in Neymar and Cr7's favorite location

Neither Rio de Janeiro nor Sao Paulo: the city with the most expensive square meter in Brazil is Camboriù seaside resort, in the South, in the State of Santa Catarina. In Italy probably no one will have ever heard of this place, but it is the seaside resort – as the name itself says – most popular in all of South America, to the point that celebrities of the caliber of Neymar e Cristiano Ronaldo they recently bought a house there. Investing quite a bit of money, given that in Brazilian Dubai il average price of a property is 14.000 reais per square meter, about 2.300 euros at the current exchange rate, compared to 10.000 reais in the very popular Rio de Janeiro. In “BC”, as the Brazilians call it, the footballer Neymar bought a maxi apartment with a cinema and heliport, while his colleague Cr7 indulged in the luxury of a 3 million euro “pied-à-terre” in the One Tower, one of the tallest skyscrapers.

Armani lands in Brazil

While waiting to build the tallest residential building in the world starting in 2028 (the Triumph Tower, which will exceed half a kilometer in height), Balneario Camboriù is preparing to host the first Armani-branded real estate project in Brazil. In this brick paradise, in fact, the Armani/Casa brands, which starting from 2026 will give life to a 270-meter-high skyscraper and 78 floors on the prestigious Avenida Atlantica, on the seafront. The building, which will house 113 apartments of up to 1.100 square meters, will be built in collaboration with Embraed, a local construction company specializing in luxury, and will have a total sales value of 1,5 billion reais, equivalent to approximately 240 million euros. The project is called Armani/Casa Residences by Embraed and it started in 2022: “We were in Italy to present it – Embraed CEO told the Brazilian press Tatiana Cequinel – and was subjected to the rigorous evaluation of Giorgio Armani, who made the final decision.”

What will the Armani project be like in Balneario Camboriù?

La Armani Tower of Balneario Camboriù will rise on aarea of 3.500 square meters close to the sea, since the (discussed) Brazilian law on coastal concessions allows private individuals to build up to a few dozen meters from the water. 131 apartments in total, 31 will be even more exclusive, with the possibility of customizing the layout and benefiting from a private pool and garden. The furniture of the common areas will be entirely curated by Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio, to consolidate the 100% made in Italy style of the initiative. “The view of the sea – commented Giorgio Armani – gives a special meaning to the whole project. For me it is a deep exploration of my concept of lifestyle”.

Armani/Casa, which is expanding all over the world, from the United States to Japan, passing through the Arab countries, thus lands in Brazil, where other big Italian brands such as Versace, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pininfarina had built luxury residential buildings. Brazil is first in South America in the luxury market, which in the Portuguese-speaking country is growing at a rate of 18% per year, against the 10% global average. By 2030, according to Forbes, it could be worth 22 billion dollars.
