The North-East is the driving area, the province with the most requests is Verona
The Northeast is the driving force behind the initiative, accounting for nearly one in three passport applications. At the provincial level, Verona leads the nation with approximately 24.000 applications processed. Infrastructure-wise, the Polis Project is progressing rapidly. Modernization and digitalization interventions have already been completed in over 5.600 post offices in small municipalities, exceeding 80% of the overall target. This network is not limited to handling bureaucratic procedures, but evolves towards models of open innovation with the parallel progress of the “Spaces for Italy” initiative.
