Enel strengthens the plan sustainable investments with a new one international financing of up to 1 billion eurosThe group led by Flavio Cattaneo has signed an agreement for a credit line multiborrower e multi-currency with Citi e Hsbc, supported by the guarantee of the Export Credit Agency German Euler Hermes.
The operation has already entered into force with a first tranche subscribed from the subsidiary Enel Finance International worth 580 million US dollars, equal to about 500 million euro.
As the group explains in a statement, the financing is based on Enel's global business relationships with German suppliers and is intended to support the financing needs for sustainable investments. Specifically, the resources will be used to finance a selection of purchases and suppliers through what is known as a "shopping line."
The agreement is part of Enel's broader strategy to diversify its funding sources, expanding the tools available to the Group and ensuring greater flexibility in resource management. Furthermore, funds may be used both in euros and in US dollars, allowing for an allocation of proceeds in line with the company's operational and investment needs.
