Taking care of your financial well-being also means learning to manage emotions, thoughts, and behaviors related to money. From this awareness comes "Chill&Skill – Relax, it's just money!", There new free app developed by Intesa Sanpaolo Savings Museum to help people face daily financial decisions with greater awareness and serenity.

The app is one of the results of the applied research project “Study for the reduction of the phenomenon of Financial Anxiety in a neuroscientific perspective”, carried out by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center In collaboration with the scientific partner Scuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca, in support of the Museum of Savings. The project integrated neuroscience, psychology, neuropsychology, and behavioral economics with the aim of understanding the causes offinancial anxiety and identify concrete tools to promote a more balanced relationship with money.

Financial Anxiety and Economic Decisions: The Role of Emotions and Behaviors

Financial anxiety is an increasingly widespread condition, also fueled by theeconomic uncertainty, From 'increased cost of living and the perceived difficulty in managing one's resources. The phenomenon isn't limited to financial availability, but also involves psychological and cognitive factors that can influence how people make decisions about spending, saving, and investing.

The study underlying the project highlighted how the relationship with money is determined by the interaction between economic conditions, decision-making processes, individual perceptions, and emotional mechanisms. From this evidence, the app was developed, designed as a training tool to foster greater awareness of financial choices.

How the Chill&Skill app works to manage your relationship with money

Available free of charge for iOS devices e Android, Chill&Skill – Relax, it's just money! offers a digital path based on exercises short courses that work on four areas: cognitive skills involved in decision-making, recognition of cognitive biases, awareness of one's own capabilities, and management of emotional reactions associated with financial situations.

The app integrates activities inspired by psychology, neuropsychology and behavioral economics, with the aim of helping users identify some automatic mechanisms that can influence economic choices and develop more conscious ways of approaching the topic of money.
