Acea Solar puts into practice a new 7 MW photovoltaic system a Santa Maria di Galeria, in the XIV Municipality of Rome, expanding the production capacity from renewable sources in the area.
The photovoltaic system, designed and built entirely by Acea Solar (100% Acea Produzione), is expected to be annual production about 12,5GWh, sufficient to cover the energy needs of approximately 4.600 families. The result also translates into a concrete environmental benefit, with a saving estimated by approximately 4.500 tons of CO₂ per year compared to production from fossil fuels.
The site covers approximately 14 hectares and benefits from the GSae incentive mechanism. The installed technology includes bifacial modules and a single-axis tracking system, solutions that increase production efficiency for the same installed surface area.
Particular attention was paid to the landscape and the environmental sustainability,The project was developed to respect the morphology of the territory and minimize the impact on local ecosystems, while contributing to the enhancement of the area.
