Workshop Ambrosetti, the 40th edition is underway: Prime Minister Renzi will not be there

The fortieth edition of The European House – Ambrosetti workshop begins tomorrow at Villa d'Este in Cernobbio (Como), which as usual at the end of the summer calls together the establishment of international politics and finance to discuss economic scenarios.

On the shores of Lake Como this time the novelty is that, breaking tradition, the Italian Prime Minister will not be present: Matteo Renzi in fact does not prefer this kind of stage (he also deserted the Confindustria assembly in May), even if the Government however, he will be represented by several ministers.

Like every edition, the Workshop's mission and ambition are to offer the Italian and international ruling class an opportunity for in-depth analysis – supported by analyses, research and facts – on geopolitical, economic, technological and social scenarios and their implications for businesses.

To celebrate this fortieth edition of the Workshop, The European House – Ambrosetti has produced a document with the contribution of Ambassador Sergio Romano which reconstructs the historical and socio-political events of the last 40 years, revisited also through the testimonies and interventions of the protagonists of the 40 editions. The document will be available on the website, at www.ambrosetti.eu, starting at 8:45 on Friday 5 September.
