Voucher: 26 million to SMEs for Temporary Export Managers

The MiSE initiative aims to increase the knowledge, managerial skills and competitiveness of SMEs: the decree also provides for a new selection of companies accredited to provide services accompanying internationalisation.

Voucher: 26 million to SMEs for Temporary Export Managers
As reported by the Ministry of Economic Development, thanks to the refinancing of the Extraordinary Promotion Plan for Made in Italy it was possible to allocate 26 million euros to support small and medium-sized enterprises that intend to make use of the figure of "temporary export manager" to better pursue their internationalization strategy. This initiative, alongside the Roadshow for Internationalization, should be seen within the context of the Government's broader objective of increasing the knowledge and managerial skills of SMEs in order to make Italian companies grow and make them ever more competitive in the world.

In particular, through this tool, companies will be able to take advantage of non-repayable grants of different amounts, according to their needs. Compared to the previous edition, which saw the granting of 1790 vouchers to as many beneficiary SMEs, il ministerial decree of 17 July the last one also extends its operations to SMEs established in the form of partnerships and, in addition to confirming the previous voucher of 10.000 euros for each SME (8.000 for those already beneficiaries of the previous tender), provides for the granting of a voucher for an amount equal to 15.000 euros (which can be increased up to 30.000 upon the achievement of specific objectives on export) in order to support SMEs who intend to take advantage of a temporary export manager for at least 1 year. The decree in question also provides a new selection of accredited companies to provide support services for internationalization processes to SMEs benefiting from the voucher.

Persons interested in being accredited in the list of temporary export manager companies can apply, according to the procedures set out in the directorial decree of 18 September 2017, starting at 10:00 on 16 October 2017 and up to 16:00 on 31 October 2017. SMEs wishing to request access to the vouchers will be able to start completing the online application from 21 November 2017: the counter is expected to open from 10.00 on 28 November 2017.
