Vodafone brings 300 Mbps fiber to citizens and makes Milan the fastest city in Italy, among the first in Europe. The initiative is part of the 3,6 billion two-year investment plan for the development of mobile and fixed-line ultra-broadband networks. In addition to Milan, Vodafone has recently launched the fiber to home (FTTH) service also in Bologna, the second city in Italy where it is possible to surf at 300 Mbps. Furthermore, Vodafone has already covered 8 cities with fiber at 100 Mbps with Fiber to Cabinet and has construction sites open in over 40 cities.
From tomorrow in Corso Como Vodafone will inaugurate an installation of over 300 meters of colored lights to celebrate a great innovation that projects Milan into the future. At the same time, the Vodafone investment and coverage plan on the ultra-broad mobile network continues: 2500 Italian municipalities in 4G, already 80 Italian cities covered with the 4G+ (Lte Advanced) network up to 225 Mbps which will become over 110 in March 2015.
