Visco: "EU, surplus countries as guilty as those in debt"

The governor of the Bank of Italy launches an attack, albeit implicit, on Germany, speaking of the Greek crisis: "A country with an economy based on exports and a large surplus is at least as guilty as a country that does the opposite"

Visco: "EU, surplus countries as guilty as those in debt"

Also the Germany is guilty of the Greek crisis. To say it, with a few turns of words, is the Governor of the Bank of Italy Ignazio Visco, during his speech at the Farnesina on the final day of the international conference at Villa Mondragone promoted by the economist Luigi Paganetto.

“It is clear – Visco stated – that a country that has an economy based on exports, a balance of payments surplus that continues to grow, a very high credit position with the rest of the world has at least as many faults of the country that does the opposite".

Meanwhile, the work of the Eurogroup called to find a solution to Athens' debt situation will resume after July XNUMXst.
