For the first time since May, and exactly one week after the decisive vote, Donald Trump surpasses Hillary Clinton in the polls. This is supported by an ABCNews/Washington Post survey, according to which the Republican candidate is ahead of his Democratic opponent by 1 point, 46% to 45%. According to Rasmussen Reports, the overtaking had actually already occurred last October 13, in that case by two points with Trump at 43% and Clinton at 41%.
Voting intentions were collected by ABCNews/Washington Post between 27 and 30 October, therefore also after the latest revelations about the emailgate, which at this point could sensationally decide the fate of the presidential election scheduled for 8 November. The estimated margin of error is still around 3%, but not enough to keep Hillary's supporters safe, evidently overwhelmed by the FBI investigation.
The battle will be particularly close in the so-called swing states, i.e. those key states due to the specific weight of the big voters. These are first of all Florida, in which Trump is given an advantage by half a percentage point, then Pennsylvania where Hillary is ahead by five points and - among others - Ohio, where Barack Obama will take the field directly in these days.
