Better-than-expected results for the US labor market. According to the latest monthly report from the US Department of Labor, in January 243 new jobs were created in the United States, while the unemployment rate dropped to 8,3%.
On average analysts expected the creation of 140 new jobs, after the 200 thousand in December, and stable unemployment at 8,5 per cent. The news had a beneficial effect on the stock markets, with all the major European markets which, after a cautious morning, almost always slipped away with less, they accelerated to the upside.
Around 15 Milan gains 0,42%, London 1,04%, Frankfurt 0,98% and Paris 0,65%.
