The "Smart City Innovation Day" meeting, an open innovation initiative organized by UniCredit Start Lab and dedicated to the world of Smart Cities, took place today at the UniCredit Tower.

A total of nine startups, selected by UniCredit and from various Italian cities, presented their innovative solutions to Public Sector customers on the most current topics concerning cities: from the growth of urbanization to sustainable mobility, from reduction of pollutants to the digital transformation that affects services for citizens. Through their pitches, the startuppers had the opportunity to come into contact with potential customers, both with those who attended the meeting at the UniCredit Tower and with those who participated in the Open Innovation from seven other Bank offices connected via streaming.

UniCredit Start Lab is UniCredit's Acceleration Program which intends to support innovative startups and SMEs in the Life Science, Clean Tech, Digital and Innovative Made in Italy sectors through a series of specific actions and initiatives. Now in its third edition (the deadline for the participation of startups will expire on May 2) the program is increasingly committed to the theme of open innovation and the creation of a "bridge" that connects already structured companies to startups innovative.

In essence, particular attention is paid to the Bank's corporate and private customers, encouraging their participation in sectoral meeting days in which the best selected startups present their solutions to possible industrial, commercial and technological partners.
