Unicredit, Together with Sace, he issued two loans of the total value of 20 million of euros in favor of Sicily by Car, a Sicilian car rental company, aimed at renewing its fleet of cars. The ESG funding of 15 million, assisted by green guarantee of SACE, will be used to purchase green hybrid and electric cars, while the other loan of 5 million euros will cover the purchase of other vehicles.

The new financial resources are essential support for strategic expansion projects of Sicily by Car which has already embarked on an international development plan with the aim of overseeing the whole of Europe”.

Sicily by Car has a fleet of approx 15.000 vehicles and has recently enriched its fleet with 100% electric cars and vans, focusing its strategy on green mobility and sustainable projects. The company operates in the main Italian airports and in the major tourist cities as well as boasting a presence in Malta, Albania, France, Austria and soon in Poland, Montenegro and Croatia. The Group is the first independent operator in Italy both by turnover and fleet size with the exception of foreign car rental companies.
