Giuseppe Vita will remain president of Unicredit and Federico Ghizzoni will be confirmed as managing director at the next Unicredit shareholders' meeting on May 13 in Rome. The names of Vita and Ghizzoni stand out in the majority list of the main shareholders of the bank, from which Cariverona was removed, after the verification of the lists carried out yesterday by the outgoing board of directors.
The board will be renewed and will be reduced from 19 to 17 members. The majority list was presented by Allianz, Aabar Luxembourg, Fondazione Crt, Carimonte Holding, Fincal and Cofimar.
In addition to Vita and Ghizzoni, the list includes, among others, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, Manfred Bischoff, Alessandro Caltagirone and Fabrizio Palenzona.
Some funds have in turn put forward the candidacy of Lucrezia Reichlin for renewal as director of the Bank.
