Unicredit: collaboration agreement in China with Cexim

Unicredit has signed an agreement with the Export-Import Bank of China (Cexim). This was announced by the Italian Bank itself, specifying that the agreement aims to create and develop long-term relationships to promote collaboration between Chinese, Italian and Central-Eastern European companies.

The aim is to stimulate the commercial and solution development for customers in different sectors:

  • project finance
  • the energy
  • infrastructure
  • global transaction banking
  • debt capital markets
  • global financial markets
  • financial support in the local markets of Italy and CEE
  • financial advice

The agreement is based on the strengthening of economic and trade cooperation between China and Europe. According to Eurostat, China was the number two partner for exports and the main partner for imports of goods in the EU at the end of last year.

"This Memorandum is a concrete step forward in supporting the economic growth of European companies in China - commented the president of Unicredit, Fabrizio Saccomanni - As a successful pan-European bank, Unicredit boasts a unique position to promote cooperation between Chinese and European companies" .
