Not Italy: only Spain and Cyprus are at risk of fiscal "stress" in the near term. This is what was stated by the EU Commission, which announced the result of the analysis on the state of public finances, in particular in the report on short, medium and long term imbalances.
As regards Spain, Commissioner Olli Rehn has indicated that there is no demand for new budgetary measures, the important thing is that Madrid continues to implement what has been established and agreed at European level. Negotiations for the European loan are underway for Cyprus. In the Commission's analysis, carried out for the purposes of preventive surveillance between EU countries, the countries rescued by the EFSF-ESM are not taken into consideration.
