Trump Jr: "Here are the emails with the Russians"

Coup de scene in Russiagate. Donald Trump Jr has published on his Twitter profile the email exchange that preceded his meeting last year with the Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, very close to the Kremlin.

In this way the son of the President of the United States - who now says he wants to be "totally transparent" - has admitted to having lied repeatedly. Trump Jr had originally even denied that the appointment took place. False. Then he partially retracted, saying that something else had been discussed during the meeting: adoptions of Russian children blocked by Putin. This too is false. He then said that, in any case, he hadn't been informed of the Russians' intentions against Hillary Clinton. Another lie.

The emails show that Veselnitskaya had promised useful information to tarnish Hillary Clinton, Trump Senior's rival at the time in the race for the White House.

In detail, on June 8, 2016, Rob Goldstone - a music promoter who acted as intermediary between the two parties - sent Trump Junior a clear offer: "The Russian Crown Prosecutor (a figure that exists in England and Wales, but in Russia, ed) wants to offer the Trump electoral campaign official documents and information that could incriminate Hillary Clinton and her affairs with Russia. It would be very useful for your father."

Trump Junior's answer is equally clear: "I love it".

Meanwhile, in an interview with NBC, Veselnitskaya denies everything: “I've never had information harmful to Hillary Clinton. That was never my intention. It is possible that perhaps they were looking for such information. They wanted them desperately to the point of hearing only what they wanted.”
