Terna at the top of the sustainability in Italy and in the world. The company led by Giuseppina Di Foggia was reconfirmed in the most prestigious international indices which select the best companies based on the best practices adopted in the ESG field: the Italian index Eb Esg (for the third consecutive year) and international ones Ftse4Good, Euronext Vigeo e S&P Developed 100 Gender Equality & Inclusion. For the Mib Esg, the blue-chip index for Italy established in 2021, this is Terna's third consecutive confirmation among the best companies listed on the Stock Exchange for its environmental, social and governance sustainability practices.
The Mib Esg index
The Italian index integrates ESG impacts in the measurement of economic performance in line with the principles of United Nations Global Compact. The companies are evaluated and selected on the basis of an assessment, conducted by the Moody's Analytics rating agency, which measures around 300 indicators, relating to 38 sustainability criteria, and which takes into account specific KPIs (such as employee turnover rate, emissions direct emissions, percentage of women in management) and implemented policies (e.g. code of ethics, human rights policy, diversity promotion policy). The latest ESG assessment by Moody's Analytics confirmed the highest possible "advanced" level for the national transmission grid operator.
international indices
Confirmation in the Mib Esg index is joined by the recent inclusions of Terna, for the twelfth consecutive year, in the indices Euronext Vigeo World 120, Europe 120 and Eurozone 120 – also based on Moody's Analytics assessment – and, for the nineteenth consecutive year, in the index Ftse4Good, following the survey by the rating agency FTSE Russell, based on over 300 indicators including climate change, corporate governance and respect for human rights.
