The Argentine branch of the Spanish group Telefonica has announced plans to invest 1,8 billion dollars (11,7 billion pesos) in the South American country between 2014 and 2015.

Of this sum, as stated by the president of the branch, Luis Blasco Bosqued, "5,2 billion pesos will be used to increase the connection speed and to install new sites", especially in 2014.

Telefonica expects Internet traffic to double in Argentina next year.
