Telecom Italia sinks on the stock market, which in the morning sells more than 5% to Piazza Affari, after ending up in a volatility auction, placing itself at the end of the Ftse Mib. The telephone company's prices are dragged down by the rumors reported by "Il Messaggero" according to which the president Franco Bernabè has convened a pre-council meeting for this evening in which a capital increase should be discussed in view of tomorrow's board meeting.
However, the indiscretion of the Roman newspaper was denied by Telecom Italia in a note: "Regarding today's press indiscretions - we read - the company specifies that the agenda of the board of directors for August XNUMXst does not include the discussion of a capital increase operation”.
Furthermore, new write-downs for an amount between 1,5 and 2 billion euro are envisaged in the half-year report being examined tomorrow.
