Telecom Italia has signed an agreement with A2A for the purchase of electricity produced from renewable sources, so as to guarantee the energy needs of all group companies for the next two years. The telecommunications company is the second largest user of electricity in the country.
The announcement of the agreement was made today during the first "Telecom Italia Energy Day", dedicated to energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions which is one of the events promoted throughout Europe by the European Commission on the occasion of the EU Sustainable Energy Week. The initiative will be repeated next year within Expo 2015.
