The presence of Italian groups in the S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Index, one of the world's leading indices on corporate sustainability, remains highly significant. In the updated edition for the 2024, as many as 15 “Made in Italy” brands are among the companies most committed to sustainability at a global level. Among these, Pirelli, Intesa Sanpaolo, Iveco, Leonardo, Prysmian, Moncler, Saipem, nexi, Generali, Post Italian, Enel, Hera, Italgas, Snam e Terna.
I Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes, launched in 1999 by S&P Global, are among the main global indices for sustainability. Each year, the analysis involves over 13.500 companies and covers 62 business sectors.
Intesa Sanpaolo the only Italian bank in the Dow Jones Sustainability indices
Intesa Sanpaolo It has also been confirmed this year in the financial indices Dow Jones Sustainability World Index e Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index, among the main global and European references for sustainability. The bank is theonly Italian present in these indices and has a 14-year history of inclusion. The indices select the best-performing companies in over 60 sectors, based on the annual assessment by S&P Global. Intesa Sanpaolo obtained an overall score of 85 out of 100, compared to an industry average of 48.
In 2024, 25 banks were included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and 8 in the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index.
Pirelli Confirmed in Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe Indices
The Pirelli confirms its role as a leader in sustainability at a global level, positioning itself first in the sectors Auto Components e automobiles within the indexes Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe. The only company in the tyre sector present in both indexes, Pirelli obtained a score of 84 points in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment by S&P Global, which is significantly above the sector average (29 points for auto components and 35 points for cars).
The company achieved high scores in several areas, including Business Ethics, Human Rights, Health and Safety at Work, and ESG management of the supply chain. It also achieved excellent results in sustainability, with a particular focus on the transition to a Net Zero target by 2040 (validated by SBTi), including Low-carbon Product, climate change management, and biodiversity protection.

Snam included in S&P's Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the fifteenth time
Snam, That for the fifteenth consecutive year was included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, confirms its commitment to energy transition and sustainability. The company has presented a transition plan that includes ambitious goals such as carbon neutrality by 2040 for direct emissions (scope 1 and 2) and Net Zero by 2050.
