The rating agency S&P Global has once again awarded the two companies with the Gold Class for sustainability

Sustainability, Pirelli and Hera win gold for S&P Global

Pirelli and Hera in Gold Class for S&P Global. The pioneering company in the rubber sector has once again been awarded the gold medal this year, with confirmation in the "Gold Class" category, within the Sustainability Year Book 2022 published by S&P Global which examined the sustainability profile of more than 7.500 companies. An acknowledgment that coincides with i 150 years of Pirelli. The Hera Group was also awarded gold in the world for social responsibility.

In detail, the ranking is created annually on the basis of the results of the Corporate Sustainability Assessment for the Dow Jones Sustainability indices of S&P Global. In 2021, Pirelli was confirmed as excellence in the sector Automobiles & Components within the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe indices with a score of 77 points against an average of 31 points. Also in 2019, the Italian group obtained the world leadership of the sector with an overall score of 85 points against an average of 33 points for the sector.

S&P Global has awarded the Italian multiutility - for the second time in a row - with the "Gold Class" 2022, the highest award reserved for companies included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) - the authoritative international stock market index for assessing ESG factors – in which Hera is confirmed first internationally in its sector (Multi-Utility & Water), with a score of 90/100 against an average of 39/100
