Inclusion,sustainability e digitization they are the basis of the new agreement between Intesa Sanpaolo and Ucimu-Sistemi per produc- tion, an association belonging to the Confindustria system of Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots, automation and auxiliary products. The group led by Carlo Messina makes available to companies associated with Ucimu, which represent over 70% of Made in Italy in the sector, a wide range of financial solutions useful for supporting investments included in the National Plan Transition 4.0, sustainable growth, circular economy and digitization.
Sustainability and digitization, new Intesa-Ucimu agreement
The new solutions will make it possible to extend the expiry date of credit lines existing medium and long-term loans up to 15 years, leveraging on the current regulatory framework which allows 80% of the guarantees of the Central Fund to be used, through additional credit lines compared to the pre-existing ones with a duration of 18 months minus 1 day, 6 of which for pre-amortisation.
In addition, Intesa Sanpaolo will offer Ucimu member companies financial solutions and dedicated consultancy support for new projects or for the expansion of production structures with the possibility of resorting to the Guarantee Fund or Sace guarantees and will favor collaboration with specialized bodies to stimulate cooperation between companies and research centres.
The agreement also provides for the bank's support for growth projects of companies associated with Extraordinary Finance operations and for Internalization and Export through the provision of products and services aimed at developing business abroad.
As far as sustainability is concerned, Intesa Sanpaolo will promote its line of S-Loan financing, intended for investments in projects oriented towards ESG values. Companies in the sector will be able to share measurement indicators with the bank to guide investment decisions towards reducing the impact of SMEs on the environment and on climate change, gender equality, aimed at guaranteeing gender equality and introducing welfare programs for female employees, and digitalization, for those who are starting the necessary digital transition.
Among the tools made available for i employees: XME StudioStation, the zero-interest micro-loan of up to 1.500 euros and for families with an Isee income of up to 50 thousand euros, which allows 1 euro a day to cover PC and connection expenses for the Dad; PerMerito, the unsecured loan designed for university students and young working mothers; mamma@work, a loan on special terms that allows financial support to reconcile family and professional life in the first years of the children's life.
Between now and 2026, the banking group is planning "medium-long term disbursements of over 410 billion euros, of which 120 intended for SMEs", he explains in a note.

Barbara Colombo, president of Ucimu, intervened with regard to the agreement, underlining how this "also responds to the needs of member companies since it includes both new products designed to support and encourage the digitization and reorganization of companies according to ESG criteria and more traditional tools aimed at promote internationalization with initiatives aimed at supporting export activity and participation in international exhibitions”.
