Six in-depth appointments in which to get to know the wines of the Slow Wine Coalitionn, the international, inclusive and collaborative network that brings together the protagonists of the wine supply chain, taste the great red and white wines of France imported exclusively by Tannico, retrace important vintages for the history of Italian wine, such as that of 2010, through renowned labels of Barolo, Amarone and Brunello, but also exploring the fascinating world of bitters, the great novelty of this second edition, in which we give space to artisan products that enhance the Slow Food Presidia and local raw materials.

In this masterclass, the Banca del Vino of Pollenzo (Bra, Cn) therefore offers a great opportunity and opens its casket to lead the participants on a journey through three of the most prestigious and iconic denominations in Italy: Barolo, Amarone della Valpolicella and Brunello di Montalcino.

Thanks to Tannico, we taste six great Champagnes vinified from XNUMX% Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, expressions of the mineral identity of each individual terroir.

The world of bitters

A particular section is dedicated to the discovery of the world of bitters. It starts from the Abruzzo mountains, where the gentian of Scuppoz was born, a historic family-run company in Abruzzo that has been producing liqueurs since 1982, enhancing the craftsmanship and quality of the typical products of the region. In the masterclass on Sunday 27 February at 15 pm, you will discover the history of this product linked to the Abruzzo tradition, tasting one of the company's cornerstones: the Genziana delle Pecore.

We then move to Niscemi, in Sicily, where the Paesano company enhances the island's raw materials with its liqueurs and bitters. These include the Niscemi artichoke, a Slow Food Presidium, of which the company uses only the heart and stems, the most valuable parts, to create a unique product of its kind, offered for tasting in the masterclass on Monday 28 February at 13 pm dedicated to Sicilian bitterness.
