From 2015, Sky programs can be seen on the internet through ultra-broadband networks, in particular optical fiber. All you need is a Telecom Italia connection and a new My Sky HD decoder designed for online TV. The novelty is the result of an agreement signed between satellite television and Telecom Italia.
"This partnership confirms the industrial importance for the two companies of operating in the large entertainment market by synergizing their assets and respective skills, also with a view to developing broadband in the country", write the two companies in a joint note.
Starting in 2015, Telecom's consumer customers will thus be able to access a Sky offer equivalent in terms of content, services and prices to that available via satellite.
"The agreement with Sky - commented Marco Patuano, CEO of Telecom Italia - is part of Telecom's strategy which identifies the offer of premium content as an element of enhancement of its new generation network infrastructures".
The Sky offer thus becomes the key element of Telecom's ultrabroadband strategy and access to the new generation network allows Sky to benefit from an additional distribution platform for its programmes.

At the beginning of the afternoon, the Telecom Italia share on the Stock Exchange gained about two percentage points, to 0,885 euros.
