Modal integration and train services, accessibility and safety in the station, reception and reuse of heritage, new infrastructures and better involvement of the territory.

These are the issues on which the attention of the third panel between State Railways and stakeholders to discuss specific proposals for improving the Group's economic, social and environmental sustainability practices. Thus concluded the phase of reviewing the proposals that emerged from the discussion held on 20 October in Milan between the FS Italiane Group and its stakeholders.

The complete list of proposals can be consulted online, with more details, on the FS Italiane website at the link http://www.fsitaliane.it/fsi/Impegno/Stakeholder-engagement. The updates relating to the proposals collected in the 2013 and 2014 Panels are available at the same address.

For the promotion of local public transport, Trenitalia has been working for some time to integrate information relating to various modes of transport (for example, the project with the Fiumicino airport in Rome has been completed, an agreement has been signed for an experiment in the Bologna station, studies are underway for the integration of information in the Umbrian stations and bus terminals). With regard to the quality of the journey, the renewal of the Trenitalia fleet is underway (through the purchase of Vivalto, Jazz and Swing trains), a specialist maintenance team has been set up dedicated to the air conditioning systems on board the train and is already active in some regions on an experimental level (e.g. Lazio, Puglia and Tuscany) the on-board cleaner.

On the topic on board servicesIT developments and the legal impacts associated with the introduction of the possibility of choosing and purchasing restaurant and bar products online during a trip are being evaluated; focus groups with customers were also planned in 2016 to explore certain topics such as the effectiveness of voice and automatic announcements on board and the management of the relationship with traveling staff.

More and more attention will be paid to station services: in 2016 it is expected to conclude the works for the safety of at least 12 small and medium-sized stations, in addition to the launch of an important tender relating to numerous other stations. On the subject of information accessibility, Wi-Fi equipment has already been implemented in the stations of Milano Centrale, Milano Garibaldi, Rho Fiera Expo Milano 2015, Roma Termini Roma, Tiburtina and Torino Porta Susa while the interventions that will be carried out by 2016 are already been funded.

With regard to the reuse of assets, RFI will publish the list of disused lines to promote initiatives aimed at their recovery in the area; on the theme of social inclusion, the Group will work to ensure integration and uniformity of approach among all station stakeholders, formalizing the central role of the Help Center in solving critical issues in railway areas.

Finally, the Group will develop a Guideline in which the procedures for identifying and involving stakeholders in the area will also be clarified in order to promote a "shared planning".
