Schools and universities closed until April 3 and possibly beyond. The coronavirus emergency is also throwing the world of school into crisis. If the closure were to continue, it would not be possible to respect the 200 days necessary to give validity to the school year. The Government has already intervened on the issue and established that even if the canonical times are not respected, the school year will still be considered safe.
The main problem though the need to guarantee students the right to learn. Homework and videoconferencing lessons are currently some of the solutions that teachers are experimenting with to buffer the emergency, waiting to understand what will happen in the coming weeks.
In this context, to lend a hand to students and teachers, Global Thinking Foundation has decided to "offer free Virtual Student-Classroom Licenses to access the virtual teaching platform redooc.com". The association founded in 2016 on the initiative of Claudia Segre, to support the financial literacy of indigent and vulnerable groups takes the field to "guarantee everyone a quality, fair and inclusive education with lifelong learning opportunities".
For this reason, it has decided to collaborate with the Redooc.com platform and to make its contents available, totally free of charge.
In fact, through this platform, students of elementary, middle, high and CFP schools will have the opportunity to continue studying the various subjects using an “innovative digital teaching tool and edutainment through video lessons and interactive exercises explained”. Not only. The platform is also able to act as a support for teachers who will have the possibility to “adapt their programs so that they are digitally usable; monitor student activity and assign homework.
To date, over 800 teachers and 10 students are using redooc.com to address this period of #SchoolHome.
How to join the initiative? Teachers and schools will have to write to [email protected], while parents and students, after registering on the site, will have free access for 3 months to all the contents (videos, notes, forms, games, interactive exercises explained) of the Primary, Middle and Higher sections (no MAST plus).
