Vehicle strike: Rome paralyzed on Friday 27 September

Uno Atac and Tpl public transport strike paralyzes Rome Friday 17 September. The mobilization - proclaimed for 24 hours by the National Coordination USB Private Work, Local Public Transport sector - was called to protest "against the attack on workers' rights, for the contract and safety". Connections are guaranteed only in two time slots: from the beginning of the service at 8.30 and from 17 to 20.

The strike involves buses, trams, the three Metro lines, the Rome-Lido railway, the Rome-Pantano line and the Rome-Viterbo line.

Atac informs in a note that "the service on the entire network from 8.30 to 17.00 and from 20.00 to the end of the daytime service" is not guaranteed. Even the journeys of the "daytime lines that have scheduled journeys after midnight and the nighttime journeys of the lines 24-38-44-61-86-170-246-301-451-664-881-916 and of the 980-314-404 of the RomaTpl company".

Finally, in the night between 18 and 19 September, "the service of the night bus lines (lines whose name begins with N)" is guaranteed, but not that of the "daytime lines that have trips scheduled after midnight", nor "the night trips of lines 24-38-44-61-86-170-246-301-451-664-881-916 and lines 980-314-404 of the RomaTpl company".

During the strike, ticket offices in bus, metro and railway stations will be closed and the service of escalators, lifts and stairlifts will not be guaranteed. The online ticket service, on the other hand, will not suffer any interruption.

The strike is national and could also involve ATM workers in Milan, with consequences on connections from 8,45 to 15 and from 18 to the end of service. The time slots used by commuters therefore remain guaranteed.
