The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a 100 million euro credit line to support the 2012-2016 investment plan of Dolomiti Energia. In this operation SACE participated with a guarantee to cover the loan granted.
This loan will allow the Dolomiti Energia Group to “develop the electricity and methane gas distribution networks, as well as improve the efficiency and enhance the production capacity of some hydroelectric plants in the Province of Trento”.
The Dolomiti Energia Group is one of the leading multi-utility companies in Italy, present in more than 200 Trentino municipalities, with 1300 employees and a consolidated production value in 2011 that exceeds one billion euros. The Group produces energy from hydroelectric sources with 20 large plants and 7 small derivation plants managed (1,8 billion kilowatt hours/year) and operates nationally in the sale of natural gas and energy from certified 100% renewable sources.
