Sace-Banca Akros: 150 million for agri-food exports

Sace and Banca Akros have announced a collaboration agreement to support the international growth of Italian excellence in the agri-food sector, making available a package of insurance-financial solutions to enhance inventory assets and 150 million euros of new credit lines to be allocated to foreign development paths.

Thanks to the agreement, aimed in particular at medium-sized companies (Mid-Cap) and extendable to other leading sectors of Made in Italy (such as jewels, leather, wood, pharmaceuticals and chemicals), the interested companies will be able to access advantageous conditions to loans, including consortium loans, organized by Banca Akros and guaranteed by Sace, to support investments for international growth and working capital needs.

Companies will also be able to benefit from the insurance-financial instruments developed by Sace to protect the business, such as coverage against the risk of non-payment of trade receivables, technological risks and inventory deterioration.

The first operation carried out under the agreement concerns a company of excellence in the dairy sector: Ambrosi Spa, a Brescia-based company leader in Italy and abroad in the premium segment of the traditional Italian cheese market (including Grana Padano DOP and Parmigiano Reggiano DOP), obtained, thanks to the collaboration between Banca Akros and Sace, a 13 million euro pool loan intended to support the procurement of raw materials, as well as the development of the finished product warehouse, to further grow in foreign markets , with particular attention to the French and US ones.
