Scrapping Equitalia folders, phase two: here's how much and how you pay

The deadline for joining the scrapping of the Equitalia folders has passed (only the Municipalities affected by the earthquake still have one year to spare), but the game remains open. Now begins the "phase two", which in turn is divided into two stages.

First of all, whoever applied for the scrapping of one or more tax bills by last April 21st must verify that this has been successful and how much the debt with the public administration amounts to. Then it's time to put your wallet in hand.

WHAT DO YOU PAY?

In general, the scrapping of the folders provides that those who have joined pay the residual amount of the sums initially requested by the tax authorities, but not the penalties or default interest. On the other hand, the interest on late payments and the increases established by law will not be paid on road fines.

HOW MUCH DO YOU PAY?

By 15 June, Equitalia will send taxpayers a communication with the following data:

– debts that actually fall under the facilitated definition;
– the total amount of the amount due;
– the deadlines of any installments.

The communication will also contain the payment slips.

HOW DO YOU PAY?

You can choose from 10 payment methods:

1) by bank domiciliation;
2) at the bank counter;
3) at ATMs of banks that have joined the CBILL payment services;
4) via internet banking;
5) at the post office;
6) in tobacconists adhering to ITB;
7) through the Sisal and Lottomatica circuits;
8) on the Equitalia portal and with the Equiclick App;
9) with the PagoPa platform;
10) at the Equitalia counters.

CAN I PAY IN INSTALLMENTS?

The law allows you to pay in a single solution or in installments (from one to five). In the second case, 70% of the amount due must be paid in 2017 and the remaining 30% next year.

WHAT IF I MISS AN INSTALLMENT?

Attention: those who do not pay an installment or pay it late lose the benefits provided by the scrapping of the folders. In these cases, therefore, Equitalia will resume normal collection activities, obviously deducting any installments already paid by the taxpayer from the total debt.
