I new gates will be active, as previously announced, from 1 ° April. The novelty is that the Municipality has introduced new cameras (six in all) that will also punish motorcycles and mopeds of non-residents. All this to make citizens and traders – who are against the Campidoglio provision – participate in the news.

The introduction of restrictions on traffic in the Trident is more than 4 years late: the cameras they should have been in operation since 7 January 2015. The six new gates have been installed in Via di Ripetta (intersection with via dell'Oca), street of the Popes (Piazza Augusto Imperatore), Via Condotti (crossing with Largo Goldoni), way of propaganda (intersection with via Capo le case), street of San Sebastianello (intersection with viale della Trinità dei Monti) e via del Gambero (intersection with via delle Convertite). The Trident will be off-limits to the unauthorized from 6.30 to 19 from Monday to Friday and from 10 to 19 on Saturday, excluding public holidays.

Access to or parking in the Trident area will be permitted only to Ztl A1 permit holders and special categories (ambulances, disabled, etc.). The restrictions were introduced in 2014 by the previous mayor Ignatius Marino but until now, the checks carried out by the local police have been in vain: all the cars authorized to enter the Ztl of the historic center have crossed the off-limits streets, just as there have been no restrictions for two-wheeled vehicles.

Residents have available 280 reserved seats between via di Ripetta, promenade of Ripetta, Lungotevere in Augusta, viale della Trinità dei Monti, piazza della Trinità dei Monti, via Gregoriana, viale Gabriele D'Annunzio and piazza Augusto Imperatore.
