The initiative The message is the bottle joins the campaign for sustainability: the University of Roma Tre says stop plastic. It will be a way not only to contribute to the future, but also to a cleaner and more sustainable present. It is among the first universities to distribute free of charge 30 thousand water bottles of stainless steel for water. Roma3noplastic invites you not to use plastic bottles and aims to save approx 10 thousand bottles a day.
Each student will receive a qr code, with which within 3 months, it can be presented at the distribution points set up in the spaces of the University and thus receive the water bottle. The code will be sent in batches to be able to deliver it to everyone. The first tranche will be around 5 students.

Yesterday, Tuesday 9 April, the event "The message is the bottle" was organized at the Rectorate of Roma Tre with the aim of spreading these values. The protagonists of the event were not only the students, but also important witnesses:
Joseph Onufrio, Director of Greenpeace Italy, who spoke about their initiative “Plastic Radar”, a service to report the presence of waste in plastic on Italian beaches and seabeds.
Giorgio Romiti of Le Iene who submitted his video “Plastic emergency”. In which Gaston Zama, collaborator of Le Iene, accompanies us along the beaches and seas around the world, where the plastic emergency has taken over. From India to Santo Domingo to the Philippines: thousands of plastic debris accumulate on the beaches carried by the waves.
Blacks Marcorè, sensitive to environmental issues, told us about one of his most famous shows during his theatrical career: “What I don't have” in which the main theme is the questions about our age, in a precarious balance between the anxiety of the present and the hope of the future. She also made a point of reading poetry "The Tale of the End of the World" by Stefano Benni which is performed in the show.
The situation is getting worse day by day and the effects of this environmental disaster are now visible and frightening. Every minute a garbage truck dumps its contents into the sea, which explains why experts detect around 8 million tons of plastic at sea. By 2050 the weight of all plastic thrown into the oceans will be greater than the weight of all fish.
