2017 opens in the field of watchmaking that combines luxury with the search for extreme and breaking design and materials with the launch of two new models resulting from the alliance between the Maison Roger Dubuis and Pirelli. A limited production of a few and exclusive specimens, which embody and project the “Dare to be Rare” concept even further, a synthesis of the bold approach to watchmaking and the determination of the Swiss company to travel the less traveled paths. Words that are punctually reflected in the Excalibur Spider Pirelli, presented in Geneva, a watch produced in just eight pieces where the technology and design of Roger Dubuis is combined with the compound of a winning tire in Formula One.

The baptism of the new and original partnership takes place about a year after Richemont announced the purchase of the missing 40% to fully control the Roger Dubuis watch brand, until then 60% owned. With an annual turnover estimated at around 60 million euros, Akram Aljord, who is also CEO of the Hysek brand, sold 40% of the watchmaker.
