Republicans Win Senate, Lead House
The Republican Party has officially taken control of the Senate. With six seats still to be filled, The GOP managed to elect 52 senators out of a total of 100, thanks to the victory in two seats previously occupied by the Democrats. The latter are currently stuck at 42 senators.
The House also seems destined to turn red, with Republicans currently holding 202 seats versus Democrats' 172. Their majority stands at 218.
