Thesan Spa, a Savio Group company active in the renewable energy sector, is involved in six photovoltaic projects in Romania. Each has a power of between 1 MW and 2,5 MW, for a total of 9 MW, and a countervalue of the operation of over 13 million euro.

The first plant, installed in an area southwest of Bucharest and with a power of over 2 MW, is currently in operation and has already obtained accreditation from the Romanian energy authority for the award of green certificates. The construction was financed by Banca Italo Romena (Veneto Banca Group). The other five projects are under construction or, as the case may be, already completed, connected to the electricity grid and undergoing accreditation.

“These important projects in Romania are added to the 10 projects completed in Italy in 2012 and confirm our international dimension – said Aimone Balbo, CEO of the Savio group – Thesan is a rapidly growing Italian company with presence in Italy, India and soon also in Brazil, with the aim of developing the South American market”.

The operation also involved other players such as Progetti International (Merloni Group), Power One Italy and other Italian contractors engaged in the construction of the plants.
