Quota 100, exits in the PA: exodus risk for school and health care

The Quota 100 revolution arrives in the Public Administration. 10 PA workers will retire in August, followed a month later by over 17 teachers. In total, in the first two exit windows provided for by law, they will be 27 thousand Public Administration employees who will take advantage of the mechanism introduced by the Lega-M5S government to leave work early.

The budget is provided by INPS, which gives a precise overview of the various sectors. "There are 10.336 applications for the Quota 100 pension presented by civil servants with effect from August 2019", writes the Institute. Among them, 80 percent comes from public bodies and health care.

In detail, the employees who work in Regions, Municipalities and Provinces they submitted a total of 5.694 applications out of 10.336, 55,1%. Conspicuous outputs also in the Health, where there are 2.344 requests (22,7%) especially among paramedics, administrative and technicians.

And again, there are 1.612 workers outgoing from ministries, tax agencies and civilian personnel, 211 from social security institutions, 50 from independent authorities, another 50 from universities and academies, 48 from research bodies and institutions such as Istat or Cnr. Under the heading 'other' administrations there are instead 327.

In September, however, it will be up to the school sector to deal with the 100 quota exits 17 teachers will retire, a number that risks creating many problems for the school sector. In the coming months, the 100 ordinary retirements that will involve teachers and school staff will also need to be added to the exits with Quota 19. The danger is that of a real exodus which the turnover will not be able to make up for. It is no coincidence that, precisely in order to remedy the problem, the Concreteness Decree has decided to encourage hiring. Will it be enough?
