Prysmian and Maire Tecnimont, new orders in the world

Prysmian has signed a contract worth 140 million dollars for a submarine cable connection in China – Maire Tecnimont, on the other hand, has been awarded contracts for a total value of approximately 102 million.

New contracts in the world for companies listed on the Milan Stock Exchange. Prysmian has signed a contract worth $140 million for a submarine cable link in China. It is the second electricity interconnection between Hainan Island and mainland China. 

“This contract is of strategic value – says Massimo Battaini, senior vice president of energy projects at Prysmian – as it was obtained in a market with high growth potential. China plans to invest 1,8 billion dollars in the period from 2011 to 2020 in the energy sector”.

Maire Tecnimont, on the other hand, has been awarded, through its main subsidiaries, contracts for a total value of around 102 million for Licensing, engineering services, EP (Engineering – Procurement) and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) activities.

In particular, the subsidiary KT (Kinetics Technology) strengthened its presence in Eastern Europe with the award by the customer Grupa Lotos of a contract relating to EPC activities for the construction of an HVD (Hydrowax Vacuum Distillation) unit, which will be integrated into the Gdansk refinery, Poland. The value of the project is approximately 36 million and completion is expected by January 2018.

Other contracts for a total value of approximately 66 million, relating mainly to the core business of Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals and Fertilizers, were awarded in North America, Europe and the Middle East with some of the most prestigious international public and private clients.
