Enterprise Environment Award, applications are open

Comes to the ninth edition the Environment Company Award, one of the highest awards in Italy for private and public companies that have distinguished themselves in a perspective of Sustainable Development, Environmental Respect and Social Responsibility. The notice to participate is open until 20 September and the award gives access to the European Business Awards for the Environment (EBAE) 2022-2023 edition, promoted by the European Commission. The initiative is promoted by the Venice Rovigo Chamber of Commerce, with the collaboration of Unioncamere and the patronage of the Ministry of Ecological Transition: so far, the award has been assigned to 37 companies, including 6 young entrepreneurs and business executives. The winners of the last edition were Caviro, Ecoplasteam, Edileco, Enel and Waste to Methane.

In addition to the four categories envisaged by the award, i.e. Best Management, Best Product, Best Process/Technology, Best International Cooperation, starting this year there will be a fifth for Best Entrepreneurial Contribution to Biodiversity, reserved for companies that have developed a business model of success, a management system, product or service, or partnership with a developing country that has simultaneously made a significant contribution to reducing biodiversity loss and supporting natural ecosystems.

It is also provided a Special Award "Young Entrepreneur", reserved for under 40 business owners or managers (already competing for one of the five categories), who have distinguished themselves for outstanding entrepreneurial skills, innovation and research activities in the field of eco-sustainable development, to which is added in this IX edition of the special "Innovative Start-up" Award for highly innovative and research projects dedicated to eco-sustainable development.
