Poletti: "After the Jobs Act we need a Social Act"

"After the Jobs Act, this country needs a Social Act: an instrument that intervenes on all the weaker sections of the population to rebuild trust in this context as well". This is the proposal launched by the minister of labour, Giuliano Poletti, who spoke to the microphones of Sky Tg24 Economia. The reference is to the measures announced by the government on pensions and tax cuts.

"We must look above all at people with greater social suffering - Poletti specified - we don't need generic and generalized interventions, but measures that have a selectivity rate and intervene on those realities where it is possible to obtain a significant result".

As for part-time incentives for workers close to retirement, “I feel comfortable taking on this responsibility as a minister – Poletti said again – if demand is too high, we will find the necessary resources. It is a first attempt to think about active ageing”.

Finally, the minister assured that VAT will not rise again: "We have no VAT increases in anticipation - concluded Poletti -, we already demonstrated it last year and we will find a way this year, there is the issue of consumption. It's not easy to deal with, but we'll do it."
