Better than cucinelli. Barnes & Nobles, America's most popular bookstore chain, jumps 85% on Wall Street. Microsoft has announced that it will invest 300 million dollars in a joint venture that will deal with the sale of digital content, books, video games and DVDs. Microsoft will own 17,6% of the new joint venture while Barnes & Nobles will own the remaining 82,4%. Excluding this flare-up, the Wall Street indexes worsened: Dow Jones - 0,26%, S&P -0,51%, Nasdaq - 0,62%.

La Milan Stock Exchange worsens in the final and closes down: the Ftse Mib index falls by 1,26% to 14.592 points. Stock exchanges also slow down in Frankfurt -0,59, Paris -1.64%, London -0,5%.

Little moved i bond yields ten-year expiry ofItaly (5,6%), of Spain (5,82%) and Germany (1,67%). 

After a glittering day, the luxury sector slows down: Ferragamo +1,12% marks a new all-time high. Tod's -0,11% and Luxottica -0,44% slow down in the final. Does not stop the flight of cucinelli + 3,3%.

In the spotlight too the former Ligresti galaxy. Premafin +8,29%, Fondiaria Sai +2%. Milano Assicurazioni also gallops +4%. The new Palladio/Sator piano is expected in the evening (or tomorrow morning).  

Unipol +0,7% made it known that it had already presented its evaluations on market shares to the Antitrust Authority and the need to reduce them after the merger with FonSai.

Fiat loses 2,98%, Fiat Industrial -2,32% Prysmian -3,68%. The fate of the leaders of Finmeccanica -1,52% will be decided, according to rumors, before the May 16 meeting. Thursday there will be the board of directors on the quarterly accounts. Heavy stm -4,18%.

Opposed the bankers. MontePaschi +1,63% and Ubi +3,09% rose. Intesa unchanged, Unicredit down by 2,26%. Generali also fell - 2,28% after Saturday's shareholders' meeting.

Various macro data contribute to favoring the slowdown on Wall Street: the index of purchasing managers in the Chicago area fell in April to its lowest level since September 2009. The data on the trend in consumption in America in March also grown less than expected. By contrast, household income rose by 0,4%, slightly above forecast (+0,3%).
